What is missing to create space that enables original thinking?
Social skills, a multi-layered problem that needs solving... and a long look into the mirror.
Most of my time at school and university up until my career, extra work has been essential. Not because I was a top performer, but because the framework educational systems and most workplaces provided didnt support different thinking styles. Whatever I tried to do – nothing seemed to be enough, which often led to finding myself striving to be heard in environments that fail to embrace diverse perspectives. For the record- my ADHD didnt help.
Community and culture are concepts I’ve always been deeply fascinated by, which is one of the reasons why I started my Masters Degree at London School of Economics to fully emerge into the power of emotions in a socio-political context and to find myself in the questions that needed answering.
From achieving product market fit for a SaaS startup in under a year to managing all external communication channels for an Aerospace company, I built my case by leveraging strategic storytelling and connecting with audiences to drive results that matter and happen outside of standardised concepts.
Reflecting on these challenges, I've come to realize the pressing need for spaces that nurture original thinking. Behind the reason to sell a service or create a product often lies intuition and gut feeling, making its story original and connect with the different levels a problem provides.
